We have a range of Antenatal Education workshops you can attend to help prepare you for birth and beyond.

Attend our antenatal education workshops from around 25+ weeks, giving you plenty of time to prepare and learn before your baby / babies arrive. 

Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

No experience necessary, all levels and abilities welcome.

You do not have to be a yoga student to attend these workshops.


We recommend attending our weekly Pregnancy Yoga classes from around 15 weeks, to help your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing during your pregnancy and to help prepare for birth click here to book your class today..

Remember to tell your midwives that you are practicing yoga and would like to try some of the techniques learnt in your workshop & classes for birth.

HOLISTIC ANTENATAL EDUCATION COURSE

3 X 2 hour theory and practical workshop | £165 per couple per course

OR £65 per couple per session (please ask for more information)

This is the perfect opportunity to prepare yourself, baby and your birth partner during your pregnancy for birth and beyond. Learn through our holistic methods about labour and the important role for your birth partner or person who will support you during birth. You will practice and learn breathing exercises, mindful active labour positions and massage techniques. We include Hypno-birthing style yoga mantra, affirmations and guided relaxation tips to benefit your pregnancy, birth, baby and beyond.

This course will help you understand the hormones and mechanics of your body during birth and is designed to prepare you physically, mentally and emotionally for a positive birth experience including c-section birth.

You can attend this workshop on your own, with your birth partner or someone who can support you on your journey to parenthood.

How, when and why holistic practice, yoga and mindfulness can support Birth including c-sections.

  • Coping strategies using the breathing exercise (practical seated)
  • Yoga positions and movement for labour (practical movement optional)
  • Massage and birth ball to help you and baby during pregnancy and birth (practical movement optional)
  • Mindfulness and birth partner roles in birthing.

Session 2

Welcome

Hormones & medical and holistic pain relief options including c-sections.

  • The role of hormones.
  • Importance of the ‘positive feedback loop.’

What to expect straight after my baby / babies arrive.

  • The early days with your newborn, giving time to the 4th trimester**
  • Building confidence and support for both you and your birth partner.
  • The first hour post birth – skin to skin contact, cord clamping, placenta delivery and newborn checks.
  • Life with your newborn – Once you are home, some practical tips and suggestions to help you during your fourth trimester.
  • Healing and postpartum care.
  • Yoga post pregnancy and the benefits to you and baby for a calmer start to parenthood.
  • Weekly support when you attend our yoga for pregnancy and postnatal classes.

Session 3

A relaxed, empowering and knowledgeable theory-based workshop covering everything you need to know about natural, holistic and medical options for birth.

You can attend this workshop with or without your birth partner. You will receive a course booklet to take away with you. Group sizes are small (3 – 8 couples), we recommend booking in advance to secure your place. (These workshops are every 6 – 8 weeks)

This is a in-depth workshop covering everything in our Holistic Antenatal Education Course. The practical work cover in a workshop style rather than full practice. A great way to recap or introduce your birth partner to these movement based, mindful theories for pregnancy and birth.

ANTENATAL WORKSHOP

2 hour practical workshop | £65 per couple

A wonderful opportunity to share your Pregnancy journey, learn more about labour and the important role for your birth partner. Alongside our weekly classes and our Prepare for Birth workshop, many women enjoy attending this workshop with their birth partner. 

You learn together, breathing, gentle movement for active labour, massage & positive affirmations (mantras / Hypnobirthing techniques), which can help prepare for all births. This workshop will help you understand the mechanics of your body during labour & will help prepare you physically, mentally and emotional for a positive birth experience. Relaxation tips & techniques are practiced for birth & beyond. 
You can attend this workshop as many times as you like during your pregnancy. Booking required. (These workshops are every 6 – 8 weeks)

 

BREATHE, BRUNCH + BUMP - PRENATAL RETREAT

3 hour prenatal nourishment retreat

Calling all Mama’s to be! Suitable from 14 weeks 

Location: Studio 17 | Egerton Road South, Heaton Moor, Stockport, Greater Manchester, SK4 4LS

Investment: £65 per person

2024 Collaboration. This retreat is a great opportunity to prioritise some relaxation and self-care, alongside connecting and sharing with a community of like-minded women at a similar stage of life.

During the event, Jaina (Jai) will be guiding you through a beautiful bespoke and calming pregnancy yoga practice. The practice will start with a safe space for sharing the mental and physical challenges you might be experiencing, as well as the joys and happiness that your pregnancy brings. Jaina will guide you through some mindful breathing techniques beneficial for birth, baby bonding and positive affirmations, before you start moving into the physical practice. The physical practice will be bespoke to the individual within the group reducing back pain, shoulder discomfort and especially modified for anyone diagnosed with Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP). The practice will end with a mini yoga nidra (guided relaxation) to help reduce physical and mental stress, anxiety and to promote better quality of sleep.

After your yoga, you will enjoy a balanced and nutrient dense brunch together, and Anna will be leading a conversation on pregnancy and postpartum nutrition. The purpose of the chat is to make health and nutrition feel more achievable and less overwhelming for new mum’s to be. Anna will help educate you on what is beneficial to include in your diet during these stages of motherhood and why, and there will be plenty of space for open and honest conversations throughout, in which you are welcome to share their experiences and ask any questions.

During the event, Jaina (Jai) will be guiding you through a beautiful bespoke and calming pregnancy yoga practiceincluding your birthing ball. Jaina’s will start with a welcome circle, a safe space for sharing the mental and physical challenges you might be experiencing, as well as the joys and happiness that your pregnancy brings. Followed with guided breathing exercise beneficial for birth and super nourishing for your baby. You will move through physical practice, using the support of your birth ball to help you and your baby during pregnancy, reducing back pain and encouraging your baby into the optimal position (OFP). The birth ball can be very beneficial during labour and post pregnancy too. The practice will end with a mini yoga nidra (guided relaxation) to help reduce physical and mental stress, anxiety and to promote better quality of sleep and support you during labour.

After your yoga practice, you will each be pampered by Jay, with a mini pregnancy massage. Jay will be sure to ease any aches and pains you may be experiencing, and send you into a deeper relaxation with her soothing pregnancy friendly aromatherapy oils.

One-off 2 hour workshop with a qualified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)  | £40 per couple

You can attend this workshop on your own or with your birth partner.
